Transient Pictures is a full service documentary production company founded by Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Landon Van Soest and Jeremy S. Levine. Our team shares a passion for telling highly authentic, emotionally gripping stories and a mission of producing innovative, socially charged documentary films, commercials, and branded content.
We have produced docu-style commercials for major brands like Facebook, Ben & Jerry’s, and Toyota and promotional videos for non-profits like UNICEF, the Lincoln Center, and Covenant House. Our team specializes in directing authentic performances from real people—from customers to CEOs—and bringing your brand’s story to life through riveting stories.
Our feature films have screened at major film festivals around the world, broadcast in seven countries, and streamed on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. They’ve been recognized with awards from organizations like the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Cinema Eye Honors, and the Sundance Institute and appeared in the Top 10 lists of publications like Entertainment Weekly and People Magazine.

Landon and Jeremy founded the Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective (BFC) in 2007 to help foster an independent filmmaking community in New York City. Since then, the BFC has grown into a tight-knit community of professional filmmakers aimed at inspiring groundbreaking films.
The collective comes together through weekly peer workshops to provide sustained feedback and critiques throughout the life of its members’ projects. Members have received awards from Sundance, the Independent Spirit Awards, and IFP and has had work nominated for the national Academy Awards.
